Crete

The Southwest of Crete provides breathtaking scenery, alternating between beaches and rugged mountain rages, shady groves of pine trees and blossoming plaints. Inspired by the variety of motifs and relaxed by the tranquillity, there is a lot of scope for attentive observation and working.

Program

Aim is to catch essential impression of the landscape and to develop an own expression .
Nature- and detail studies deliver the impulses for a transmission to abstraction and reduction. Complementary interaction of colours, lines, rhythms and structures are themes, with which we are concerned in the nature as well as by the free translation
Various techniques such as watercolours, chalk, acrylic and pigments are inserted for this.

The instruction times amount approx. 5 hours a day with a longer lunch time, 2 days are for free disposal, once weekly an painting excursion is planned after agreement (shared costs).

The hotel with approx.40 rooms is run by a Creatan family and treats you with a typical Greek cuisine. Surrounded by olive trees and three bays that remain unaffected by mass tourism, the tranquillity of a still unspoiled landscape prevails

Materials to bring along:
watercolour-box, watercolourpad ,brushes of your choice, chalks, pencils, watertank, gouache-white, People which like working with acrylic do need acryliccolours, canvas (not framed), or acrylicpapers.
